Esther Hicks: “I’m in the Vortex”

Continued from Successful Self Employment News subscribe

So what is it about this “vortex”? That’s the term Abraham now uses to describe the energy surrounding each of us. Energy that’s about to move from the non-physical – the world of our thoughts and feelings – into actual physical manifestation.

I just watched a totally inspiring Law of Attraction video by Esther Hicks on the vortex. Before I give you the link to view it, here’s some background on how we relate to the vortex. Read this first so you get the biggest possible benefit when you watch.

How I think of it is: we put stuff into the vortex whenever we ask for something better.

Every time you’ve experienced what you didn’t want, you simultaneously asked for what you preferred.

Whether you voiced your preference deliberately or not, the universe heard your new desire. And responded instantly.

All those preferences – edited and added to and updated as your life unfolds – now live in your personal vortex.

How we get the actual stuff out of the vortex is: Continue Reading »

The Law of Attraction Secret in “Groundhog Day”

It’s a safe bet the 1993 movie “Ground Hog Day” wasn’t created as a Law of Attraction teaching. Yet, it provides one of the clearest illustrations I’ve ever seen of  how we create our own reality. (Plus, it’s hilarious.)

Bill Murray plays Phil Connors, a cynical and disdainful local TV weather anchor who gets trapped with his TV crew in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania,  on Ground Hog Day.

What I mean by trapped is: after the show is taped, Phil can’t leave  Punxsutawney (because of a huge storm he failed to predict).

Worse yet, he wakes up each morning only to relive Ground Hog Day.  Over and over. Each morning the hotel clock radio snaps on at 6:00 a.m. and once again it’s February 2. No one else in the movie has any memory they’ve lived this day before: just Phil.

That’s the premise. But what’s the Law of Attraction secret hidden in this movie? Continue Reading »

You can’t suck up to the Law of Attraction

There’s no way you could be trying to cajole or curry favor with the Law of Attraction.  Absolutely not.  Not you.  Me neither.

But just in case you  have a wee tendency to strive for brownie points with LoA  read on…

Since childhood most of us have learned to think of the universe or God or spirit (or the Great and Powerful Oz) as a big outside authority watching our every move, hearing our every thought and keeping score on a cosmic spreadsheet.

As a result… most of us have become adept at trying to justify our worthiness. We’re in the habit of begging, cajoling, promising to be good forever if only just this once the universe will ______________ [insert huge favor here].

The vibration of this could be described as groveling.  Or some might say brown nosing.

The Law of Attraction responds to groveling by sending us more to beg for.

As grownups we may now think of ourselves as way too spiritually aware to cajole and suck up to an authoritarian universe.  But are we really?

How often do you  treat money carelessly by squandering  or maxxing out credit cards thinking “the universe” will  Continue Reading »

5 Steps to Break Free from the Self Sabotage Myth

Continued from Successful Self Employment News subscribe

Over the past week I heard friends and clients wonder if we unknowingly sabotage our success. It’s a common thought, but that does not  make it true.

I’ve come to believe self sabotage is a Law of Attraction myth.

How it usually operates is: you set an intention – e.g., to start an exercise program, to write one press release a month about your company, to come home from your job and spend two hours a night on your home business.

And then… “something happens.” The vet says says your dog needs tests, you take an out-of-town business trip, your parents are moving and need extra help.

Pffftt!  (That’s the sound your plans make as they evaporate).

So what’s really going on when this happens? And what can you do about it? Continue Reading »

Law of Attraction Help for Haiti

Law of Attraction provides a way (over and above donating money or time) that anyone can help Haiti, right now.

All it takes is remembering who we really are: spirit temporarily inhabiting physical bodies. We’re not separate from each other regardless of where we live: we’re one. Spirit isn’t removed from our world – it’s within us.

Any one of us is free to access our innate spiritual power at any time to add to the good in our world. Here’s how it works.

To use the Law of Attraction to help Haiti, start by connecting to your spiritual power.

Not sure where your spiritual power is? It’s in your heart. Put your attention on your heart and feel the love and compassion you have for all Haitians in their suffering.

From your heart, tell them how much you care about them, how much their suffering matters, how much love is being broadcast to them from all over the world, and how much help is being summoned to them.

Law of Attraction responds to your desire to help Haiti by expanding the help available. Yes, YOU are that powerful. Don’t believe me? Why not try it?

After you help Haiti in your heart, if you’re able to take an action such as making a contribution do that too.

Keep in mind what Law of Attraction teaches: action taken from a place of powerlessness is a vibrational match to powerlessness. Action taken from a place of true power is a vibrational match to true power.

Access your true spiritual power to ease suffering in this world. Then any action you take carries the energy of spiritual power.
